Spec Rite Converters is the only place that we use for torque converters. They are extremely knowledgable and when we need custom stuff done for race trucks they work extremly hard and in a quick manner to get us what we need for competition. They also are great to work with when you may be in trouble and need something right away like a new converter or repair to get a customer back on the road in a timely manner.

After a couple of phone calls Mike and I decided on a converter. Reluctantly I've ordered converters from other reputable manufactures and have been very disappointed in the products they sell. With the help from Spec Rite our race program improved. We found 2/10 and 5 mph and did nothing else to the car. The stall speed was exactly where Mike said it would be, also the timing system on the car shows 2% slippage. I'm convinced that everyone else makes automatic transmission converters while Spec Rite makes race converters and damn fine ones at that. They also took care of re-builds for a very fair price. Hey guys, hows it going? Hey just wanted to let you know that your converter rocks! I ran a 8.19 with the "other" converter, I then put your converter in and ran a right off the trailer 7.91 @ 173mph. I am stoked but I think the engine has more potential. This is just a short letter to say thank you for such a wonderful product you’ve built for us and the manner in which it has changed or program.
Prior to contracting with Spec-Rite Torque Converters to build two ten inch blower motor combination converters, I was damaging or destroying expensive converters from numerous large name converter industry leaders on a regular basis. It seems they all had the same problem, it was they all used basically, the same stock sprag assembly in a highly modified and strengthened torque converter. Mike at your shop took the time to cut them apart and let us see for ourselves, the difference, between their construction and what goes into the construction of your torque converters. I was convinced to give the Spec-Rite Converter a try at least and ordered two on the spot.
After a full season and a half, with over eighty passes, in both test and race conditions in the West Coast Top Sportsman series, our supercharged, 511 cubic inch supercharged alcohol Corvette has yet to suffer any torque converter failures. What is surprising is that our second Spec-Rite converter still remains in its original box. I have not had to use it yet, either at sea level or high altitude tracks such as Salt Lake City where we the number one qualifier right out of the trailer.
Since installing your product, I have had more time to learn the tune up on our new engine combination and spend a lot less time changing damaged transmissions due to converter failure and filling the transmission full of metal. I recommend that anyone looking to solve their torque converter problems, both with either blown or non-blown applications, should invest in one of your converters, I know for a fact they have nothing to loose and everything to gain.
