Spec Rite Converters had a few customers who were running in Top Sportsman at the Autolite Nationals in Sonoma last weekend.  Dan Borg qualified #12 with a 6.90, Jeff Gillette qualified #20 with a 7.18 and Rick Takahashi qualified #27 with a 7.45et.  Dan Borg lost in the 1st round ran a 6.92 but lost on a holeshot .  Gillette went three rounds running a 7.24, 7.26 and a 8.47 where a .007 red light ended his day.  Takahashi went four rounds running a 7.48, 7.48,  7.54,  and a 7.56 where a .001 red light ended his day.  Spec Rite  sends out a big Congratulations to all the teams on their
performances!!!

Diesel Nationals by Jefferson State Diesel in Redding July 10
Spec Rite Converters Congratulates Cole Dow for taking the win over Harvey Grant of J & H Diesel Perfomance in Redding Ca. in the Drag Racing portion of the event.  Cole took the win after Harvey red lit.  The red Ram Charger also ran an et this weekend of 10.50!!  Congratulations to both our customers on a great event!!!

July 2010-  This weekend July 10th is the 2nd Annual Diesel Nationals by Jefferson State Diesel and along with the NHRDA will be at the Redding Dragstrip in Redding California.  Gates open at 8am.



July 2010-  Congratulations goes out to Aaron Wardell on his win in Top Eliminator West at Champion Raceway in Medford Oregon this past weekend.  Aaron is the driver of Jimmy Ray's dragster.  Great job guys!

May 2010-  Congratulations to Tim Beeman on his win in Vegas at the Rockabilly Rod Renunion at Las Vegas Motor Speedway .  Tim runs the NHRA Heritage Series and is currently sitting #1 in points for the 2010 season.

May 3, 2010 - It was an all Spec Rite Torque Converter final at the West Coast Top Sportsman event this past weekend at the NHRA National Open from Sacramento Raceway! Jeff Gillette took the win with a 7.15 @ 198 over John Campoy who was the runner up. Congratulations to both teams!

April 26, 2010 - The Funny Car Fever event was this past weekend at Sacramento Raceway (April 23/24). Below is some news from Spec Rite Torque Converter customer's from the event...

John Overholster (running the 7.00 index Pro Slammers class) qualified in the number 3 position in his 1956 Chevy.

 

Bruce Sanders took home the big paycheck ($5,000 to be exact) when he qualified number 1 in the Pro Slammers class with a 7.01 @ 204 and took home the win at the end of the night!

 

Spec Rite Torque Converters owner, Rod Burbage, was the runner-up at the Funny Car Fever with the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association. In the final round he unloaded a career best 6.03 @ 242!
(which also clinched him the MPH record for a converter driven pro mod car in the 1/4-mile)

 

March 29, 2010 - New Spec Rite customer John Overholser has been trying to dip into the 6-second range for the past 5 years and after purchasing a Spec Rite torque converter he ran a 6.83 @ 205 on only the 3rd pass after installing the new converter.



March 24, 2010 - Congrautlations to Tim Beeman from Red Bluff, California for winning the Nostalgia Eliminatior III class at the 2010 March Meet! Great job Tim from all of us at Spec Rite Converters.
