November 23, 2009 - Congratulations to Spec Rite customer, Randy Kay, on qualifying in the #5 spot in the 32-car Pro Street field at the Street Car Super Nationals held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Nov. 19-22. Kay qualified with a strong 6.13 and won 3 rounds before loosing in the semi-finals. Great job Randy and crew!

October 15, 2009 - BIG congratulations go out to Paul Bourne on winning his first ever race during the September 26th "Night of Fire" event in Salt Lake City, Utah. Paul said he never thought he would get his first win under the lights and in front of such a large crowd. Good job to Paul and his family/crew!

October 12, 2009 - On Sunday Oct. 11 at Redding Drag Strip, George Vanderpool won the Super Pro class against Tish Hill. Two Spec Rite customers in the final round. Congratulations to George and Dixie Vanderpool on their win and Tish Hill on the runner-up.

October 12, 2009 - Jeff Gillette won the 2009 West Coast Top Sportsman Association Championship! Congratulations to Jeff, Barry and Darren on a great season and we at Spec Rite Converters thank you for the continued support.

October 12, 2009 - Bryon Boyd won the big Bucks Shootout at Redding Dragstrip on Oct. 10th. Congratulations Bryon!

October 8, 2009 - On September 12th, 2009 at the Division 1 NW Nationals at Champion Raceway (in Medford, Oregon) Harvey Grant of J&H Diesel Performance won the Pro Street class. Congratulations to Harvey!

September 27, 2009 - Bruce Sanders took the West Coast Hot Rod Association's A/Gas win at the West Coast Finals event! Good job to Bruce and his crew! Already making a winning combination with the new car!

September 19, 2009 - The following news is from Spec-Rite customers after Sacramento Raceway's "Governors Cup" event, read about it all below!

Spec-Rite Converters owner, Rod Burbage, won the 2009 West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association championship. Good job Rod, Melynda and your whole Spec-Rite crew!

Randy Kay took the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association win at the "Governors Cup". He also qualified #1 with a 6.104 and reset his previous world record for the 1/4-mile converter driven pro mod car when he went 241.27 (it was 240.05).

Jeff Gillette took the West Coast Top Sportsman Association win at Sacramento Raceway's "Governors Cup" event. He ran a 7.205 on a 7.20 dial-in to take the win!

Kerry Hilgers won the 2009 West Coast Pro Gas association's B/Gas (8.60) championship and he was the runner-up at the "Governors Cup" event! Great job Kerry and Family!

Congratulations to Kevin McClain on winning the C/Gas (9.60) class at the "Governors Cup" with the West Coast Pro Gas series. He also finished 3rd in the WCPGA championship standings for the C/Gas class.

September 12, 2009 - Congrats to Bruce Sanders for taking the Quick 8 win at the PINKS ALL OUT event at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Ca!

September 4, 2009 - Congratulations go out to Jason Vanderpool for going 7 rounds at the National Dragster Challenge at Sacramento Raceway and winning the event; earning himself a "Wally". He ran consistently in the 7.80 range and 170 mph. Good job Jason!

August 17, 2009 - There is a lot of Spec-Rite customer news to report after this weekend, check it all out below:

First off congrats to Randy Kay for running a career best 6.13 running with the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Association during Sacramento Raceway's Fox Hunt event! Kay reset his previous track et record (which was a 6.20).
His incremental numbers were: 1.05 - 60', 2.70 - 330', 4.03 - 660', 187.35 - 660' mph, 5.17 - 1000'.

Also, Kenny Buzdas ran a career best at the Fox Hunt as well driving Jimmy Ray's Top Eliminator West dragster. Buzdas thundered down the 1320 and stopped the clocks with a 6.10 @ 228.95.
His incremental times were .935 - 60', 2.58 - 330', 3.95 - 660', 182.89 - 660' mph and 5.11 - 1000'.

John Campoy took the West Coast Top Sportsman Association win at the Fox Hunt! Congratulations John, Lisa, Jim and all their crew and family! John dialed an 7.54, had an .022 light and ran a 7.57 @ 178.60 mph for the win.

Kerry Hilgers made it to the Semi-Finals in B/Gas at the Fox Hunt running with the West Coast Pro Gas Association. Great job Kerry!

Steve Gorman ran with the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association on Saturday and qualified number 6 out of 12 entry's. He went out in the first round but improved on his qualifying number by running a 4.298 @ 167. Thanks for the continued support, Steve!
